Nikon's new Z Series takes progressives to a whole new level.
Stop by and experience the difference!

Improved Contrast for Easier Focusing

Following images compare approximated visions wearing previous Nikon progressives(left) to the new Z Series(right).

The new Nikon Z Series enhances contrast to help you focus more easily.

Compared to conventional progressive lenses, it offers a wider and clearer field of vision, making text easier to read even in dim lighting.

It's known for reducing eye fatigue thanks to easier focusing, and has been a hot topic on Japanese social media since its release.

At Nagata Optical Sasebo, you can try out test lenses in-store at no cost. We invite you to experience the difference for yourself.

Exclusive Optical Design Powered by Nikon's Camera Expertise

To enhance visual comfort in progressive lenses, Nikon focused on a metric long used in camera lens contrast analysis called MTF (Modulation Transfer Function).

Building on this expertise, Nikon developed a dedicated optical design engine for eyeglass lenses — the Nikon Optical Design Engine Z — to achieve optimal contrast through MTF analysis.

By adjusting aberration and lens power based on MTF analysis, this design delivers improved contrast and visual clarity.
